All airports have some kind of Animal Reception Center, some just a room, some like Amsterdam and Frankfurt, very large sections where they have boxes for horses, kennels and caretakers that are available 24 hours a day. Of course these are few and far between. Most airports will have minimal service. The Pets animals arrive are taken to the cargo area where they await the border vet to examine the paperwork. This process takes +3-4 hours from the time your pet has landed. If your animals arrive as excess baggage then most likely they will not go through the ARC. As a AVI handling company we build, manage and set-up ARCS. With now over 24 years in the field we assure the right formats, day-to-day actions for any airports willing to enter the field of AVI handling. To reduce your stress and those of your pets, book with the PetDesk.
